Ukraine assumes regional leadership
NGOs in the Black Sea region often face similar problems: authoritarian governments, lack of funds or the so-called GONGOs. The 7th edition of the Black Sea NGO Forum brought these problems into the foreground and focused on how activists can forge a common strategy aimed at translating their action into real power and influence. Ukraine can claim to be a regional leader in terms of activism since Maidan, so this is no wonder civil society activists organize such events in Kyiv. We did our best by suggesting the most appropriate location — The President Hotel — and providing smart planning and logistics for numerous parallel workshops and plenary sessions.
