2014 was an extremely difficult year in Ukraine economically. What to expect then in 2015, especially for the MICE industry which is so dependent on how their business customers perform? I believe that, no matter the severity of the crisis, business will not stop travelling. There will be a decrease in the number and cost of travels and events, which will make the MICE sector slimmer, but it will not disappear. On the other hand, Ukrainian companies have a wonderful opportunity to discover both local, internal potential of Ukraine (very attractive as you pay in the soft local currency) and the EU markets that are opening up after the AA and DCFTA signing. And we finally have all reasons to stop crediting clients. Immediate transaction is king, and your travel/event agency is no bank! Otherwise, I am looking into the future with much optimism.
