Now two types of events are popular. The first is an open one, when the tickets are sold, and the organizers’ earnings consist of a ticket office and payments for sponsorship packages. The second one is closed – when the organizer invests resources to work with his target audience: employees, partners, customers.
With the growth of events of both formats, another fashionable concept has appeared, which in narrow circles is called “festivalization”. Hooray, new term. So this is a trend.
